How easy is it to support Na Mele O Maui? It's as easy as (pizza) pie! (Aug. 30 at Flatbread Co., Paia)

IT'S AS EASY AS (PIZZA) PIE!
(Tuesday) August 30, 5-10pm, Flatbread Company, 89 Hana Hwy., Paia (808-579-8989)

It's good to 'give back.' But it's fun to give back by doing something you'd be doing anyway. Like eating. Everybody's gotta eat! So when you're choosing where and what to grind next week, consider Flatbread Company on Tuesday night (August 30). Why? Between the hours of 5-10pm, they're donating $3.50 for every large flatbread sold (or $1.75 for every small) to Na Mele O Maui, in support of the upcoming 39th annual Nā Mele O Maui Song & Art Contest.

PS: Have you seen Flatbread Company's updated website? Chee hoo, it's pretty sweet. Check out da Paia locale's page (where we swiped the image used in this blog): http://www.flatbreadcompany.com/FlatbreadMaui2010.html

The Flatbread Company was started in Amesbury, Massachusetts in 1998 with the mission of providing both guests and employees a place to “renew their spirit.”  Since then, Flatbread has expanded to nine other locations including Pāʻia, Maui. Menu items are prepared with local, organic produce and free-range meats.  In 2010, Flatbread Company received the Maui County Farm Bureauʻs Friend of Agriculture Award for going above and beyond to source locally grown fruits, vegetables and proteins.  The dough is made fresh daily with 100% organically grown wheat, spring water, kosher salt and real cake yeast.
