WIN $500 FOR YOUR SCHOOL
Usually, cash flows toward a mall--not away from it. But the QKC is cool and is giving you a chance to win $500 for your school.Visit the mall's Facebook page now through August 31 to vote for your school in their "Loud & Proud" contest. The winning school will be announced on their page on September 1. Just to check it out, I took the poll (forsaking my alma mater, King K, I voted for Pomaikai, where my mom teaches). There are 11 schools to choose from: Iao Intermediate, Kahului Baptist Preschool, Kahului Elementary; King Kekaulike High School; Lihikai Elementary; Maui High School; Maui Waena Intermediate; Paia Elementary, Pomaikai Elementary, Pukalani Elementary, and Sacred Hearts School. As of this post, Pukalani Elementary is in the lead with 70 percent of the vote (71 votes).
